My dog also hates fireworks but tbh i wouldn't mind if bonfire night WAS one night but it goes on for about 3 weeks! Most nights since last weekend there have been fireworks going off and it'll carry on well into next week.

I wouldn't say 3 weeks but definitely a week and I agree it should be 1 night only 2 max

This. I came to fucking hate fireworks after realizing it took years to get me accustomed to them without any good reason. My dogs go crazy and they are right - it makes no fucking sense to bang loud enough that you have to change yourself not to go crazy too. Also hope the guys who launch shit will once have their baby children close - maybe they can teach them how dumb it is.

Yay, the night all Britiah people come out to celebrate the State rperession of religion by burning an effigy of a Catholic.

Also fireworks are shit 99.9% of the time. In this day and age uncoordinated flashes of light and loud bangs shouldn't really be considered in any way entertaining.

You're aware the fireworks are to symbolize the gunpowder explosives? Besides nobody really cares about the religious and political significance. I enjoy the history behind it but for most people it's just a good ol' family time

There was waaaaay more fireworks going off last night than tonight, the actual night people should celebrate. I guess Saturday is a better night to get drunk and play with explosives.

Saying that, the pub across the road just started a nice display. It's like downtown Baghdad atm lol. The street is full of smoke.
