I'd say it's more the case of making two underage boys enter an inter species relationship. It's 2017, almost no one cares about people being gay, stop virtue signalling. Furthermore it's also tainting WoW (a very unsexually themed game) and drawing it into the realms of fan fic, kids play this game, it's a child rated game - it's completely unnecessary.

They're not underage. Interspecies relationships aren't a big deal in fiction. Also what part of gay relationships do you think is more sexually charged than straight relationships? What about gay kids that want to see themselves represented in the media? What part of their relationship would be too sexual for WoW compared to Malfurion and Tyrande?

What you're referring to as mental gymnastics is just logic. I don't understand why you're applying the rules of our world to a fictional Dragon and a king. Also why have you included homosexuality as a negative thing?

Of course, but I was speaking about LGBT representation in Warcraft itself. They've handled Tracer well, but Overwatch doesn't have as much lore, nor as many ways of presenting lore compared to WoW. It's a tough balance with something like WoW, where if they did make Anduin gay and mentioned it a lot, people could become annoyed by it, but if they don't mention it enough, then people will feel like there was no point in mentioning it at all - like they're just checking off a quota. That's how people acted about Tracer in the start with a simple picture of her kissing a woman and having a line about Emily in the Kings Row map, anyway.

There were many intolerant people complaining. but I think it's okay to have gay characters.

I just hope that Anduin has normal relationships not with a dragon
