What was your first thought of Classic WOW when it was announced?

Mine was doing the hike from Darkshore to Wetlands all the way to Ironforge to take the train to SW to go to westfall to be a seal on my druid.

Honestly liked that quest line. I liked the journey. EVen though seal form was eh, it was enjoyable to explore so many lands for a quest at such a low level.

I thought of the vanilla 5-mans and how I will get to experience it all over again, and do the parts that I missed out on back in the day. Something I thought would never be possible again.

Those were always fun. It was not until TBC for dungeons to really be required so you just did what you wanted. I liked being in Ironforge making the moniez and getting msgs to just make people stuff directly because my name was on all the gear they had.

I did that trek the other way; I moved my gnome to Teldrassil to level her on night elf quests. I never liked mechanostriders and decided that her first mount would be a saber, which I then bought at 40. It brought many impressed whispers in the day.

But the first thing I thought of was doing BRD the proper way.

That was always a fun instance. Would just go for a few hours and kill everything. Was literally an instanced Zone.

It was that forums will go to shitter. And I wasn't wrong.
They always told me I would miss my family... but I never miss from close range.

So your question is which memorable moments came up when it was announced.

Let's see, i was a Paladin back then. There was this weapon quest, to make a 2 handed mace, that involved going all over the world and doing some dungeons. I think I had to go to Razorfen Kraul or smth and Shadowfang keep.

One particular afternoon, asking my brother where I should go level next, being lvl 30ish or smth, i dunno, and spending at least 2 hours killing trolls in STV.

Running through zones which were too high lvl for you. Remembering running through Arathi Highlands, on the road, and still dieing to the dinos.

    Elite ogres in Loch Modan

I always thought it was the instance that felt most alive.

I was not so optimistic, but certainly wondered how much of the whiner crowd would put their money where their mouth was. After all, they were quite vocal in assuring us they are only playing on pirate servers 'cause Blizzard runs none.
