Think it was mentioned in some Cata tie-in media that they are working on repairing it. The vindicaar might be a small test to see if they can do it independently of the Naaru.

Also, not saying your wrong, but I don't remember hearing about it being built of Exodar parts, so if you could give me a link I'd be grateful (or I'll search for it later since i'm interested)

YES, And they were a treat !! Loved them!
It would be great to have some during the year, not being overshadowed by other presentation during an event.

They weren't overshadowed tho, were perfectly visible in all the schedules and a lot of the people here went crazy over them.
Tho I would like to see more of the process, it's also better if they keep more info about their in-house build software to themselves.

Then it comes down to if they look at the Exodar as "spare resources", or if the Vindicaar is a prototype for a non-Naaru powered exodar.

We'll see. Encrypting doesn't work in all cases and actually creates a bunch of problems for them to solve as we've already seen happen with Silithus which was crashing some people as soon as it loaded (yeah, non-wound Silithus.. somehow) which required some hotfixes right after 7.3.2 was deployed.

One of the things it doesn't solve yet is that we can find out (and mostly have) what stuff is encrypted. Obviously we don't know what things look like, but knowing there's a giant sword in the middle of the Silithus isn't that different to seeing a sword in the middle of Silithus.

They can and probably will deal out some hefty blows to datamining in 8.0 though, it'll be a very interesting (and challenging!) alpha/beta period!

Got bored of switching streams every now and then, trying to see if I missed anything during the what's next, so I sticked to mythic stage, so that's on me

For the 3D, and animation, they use known software, like Maya, 3DS Max or ZBrush, so that can be shown, and since they're in the middle of a recruiting spree, might help motivates future generations to try a shot at having a Career at Blizzard.

Ah, not that familiar with 3d software (Other than blender) so i thought that the animation program (where it was mid pandaren animation, with 2 unknown races among the race icons) was in house built since it had custom icon for races, but that might just be plugins for comercial sofware I guess.
