If there is one thing I know about our Fav Gen OT mod Endus is that he is definitely not a Nazi.

Problem is, if the revenue for this site is so low that they they need to implement a Premium option, where would they find the funds to pay an entire Mod team a salary? A lot of the work that goes into MMO-Champion is just people who are passionate and dedicate their own time to this. I think they do a pretty good work for how thankless the job is. Well, MMO-champ clearly earns money, but is run by people who aren't paid. Seems unfair that the site and owners earn money, but the staff have to work as a charity.

They have mods that espouse political violence without getting infracted, despite that being against the rules on calling for a crime to be committed and others that infract people for having views they disagree with, the moderation team here are pretty poor by any standard.

I just noticed it today, and immediately subscribed.

I visit MMO-C so often that it's a no-brainer purchase for me, just as it is with Wowhead Premium. The price is dirt cheap considering it's for a full year.

Agreed. I tried turning it off at one point like "maybe they've improved it" no, it's still garbage.

They'll get my money when the moderator staff shapes up. Maybe pay them so they work more? I dunno.

That would, of course, require even more money. I think the moderators do decently enough considering they're volunteers.

I think a great marketing tactic would be to give a free Premium membership to a select group of the most esteemed posters on this site. Imagine seeing someone legendary like Jaylock or Tennisace with the Premium banner under their names. It would encourage a lot more people to sign up for Premium.

This change was fantastic for phone use btw. Runs smooth as butter now.

Edit: Not seeing any adds after disabling AdBlock on pc.

All ads were disabled. Tracked down hopefully the last 2 little things triggering that block notification. They were just little analytics tracking pixels, but knocked them out. Hopefully that reduces it to zero!

They actually spoke about implementing this a few months back. They did a poll on the front page which they quickly removed.

Basically they dont make enough money from ad-revenue so they want people to pay this instead.

Maybe because they have cancer ads that scream at you, give you malware and are just super intrusive.

Nah. A bunch of us got it before anyone even said anything about it. It's more like that most of us spend a quite significant amount of time on this site - and thus want to support it directly. Especially since it's really not much money.
Plus I like collecting things. So I wanted the badge. It's like with WoW pets. ;-;
