LOL @ that! Genn basically tried to gank her while she was fighting a boss. You use THAT as your example of how Genn would win? What, does he have a pocket god he carries around with him that he can whip out any time he wants to fight Sylvanus? Even so, Genn attacks from behind, above, and with stealth while she's holding her will over Hela, and he still misses.
And even when he does finally connect with a claw, it doesn't even cause any real harm. Sylvanus just gets back up and shoots him. We see the same thing against Saurfang in the BfA trailer: He connects with a tired, wounded Saurfang who's already fighting someone else(Anduin), and Saurfang just gets back up afterwords.
No, the only thing Genn is good at fighting is distracted, tired people, and he can't even finish the job there either. Taking on Sylvanus in the height of her power just isn't going to happen. She'd drop one of those banshee bombs on him and he'd wither and die.

More likely Plot Armor. Hela left the building. It was just her and wounded Genn, and Genn had his back turned. But somehow she just doesn't keep shooting until he's a bloody smear on the ground? Wut?
Gimme a break.

Varian was disenchanted like a cheap green shoulder piece.
Honestly, the hate for Thrall at this point is pure bandwagon. He had one bad patch in cata, and everyone acts like he's the worst thing ever.
At least he doesn't cry in every fuckin scenario like Anduin, hell this dude cried mid battle in the trailer. Total beta male
Which has nothing to do with the absolutely nonsensical response of letting him "walk out like a badass". Given how much hate Sylvanus has for Genn, especially right after he broke the Lantern, there's no reason why she wouldn't have turned around and wiped the floor with him. Genn should have been erased by her on the spot.
But that wouldn't fit the narrative. Alliance players would probably have lost their shit if Genn went out like a bitch just to smash a lantern. Thus: Plot Armor.
Stop trying to kill me! #Genndidnothingwrong
At the same time, the Horde has lost Thrall most notably, with other characters such as Hamuul Runetotem being neutral with the Cenarion Circle now as well. Both sides have lost plenty of characters to the neutral game over time. It does seem like the Horde loses more in the overall scheme of "oh noes the fighting killed X" but the Alliance loses more characters in the form of corruption such as Arthas or Fandral Staghelm (and potentially Bolvar) while in reality the Horde's corrupted characters are what? Deathbringer Saurfang in ICC and maybe the guy in charge of the Wrathgate events who was a no name before that? I don't count Illidan as Horde or Alliance; the Horde wasn't even a thing when he traded his soul away for power. Horde loses characters in combat (most notably through things like poison for Cairne or Vol'jin) while the Alliance loses its characters to corruption whether it be from Old Gods or cursed runeblades and both sides lose them to neutral factions like the Cenarion Circle or Earthen Ring. It's a fairly even trade all around, it's just the significance of the characters that are changing over.
The Horde has shifted through how many warchiefs in the lore? We've gone from Blackhand to Doomhammer to Thrall to Garrosh to Vol'jin to Sylvanas now (not counting AU stuff), with the threat of Sylvanas' ultimate fate hanging in front of us now that she is unable to enslave Eyir and her Valkyr in Stormheim. During the same time period we've seen King Terenas and King Llane die, with Varian during Legion and Llane was dead before the Alliance was technically formed, so two major leaders have died since the Horde invaded Azeroth (3 if you want to count Magni going neutral, which we should since we count Thrall's leaving the warchief position I suppose) while the Horde has been through six different warchiefs now in a matter of ~30 years or so. Being promoted to Warchief is basically a 5-6 year death sentence in this universe.
LOL at the people who call Genn a warmonger.
Let's see how detached you can get if I go into your house, kill your son, set your house on fire, then level your neighborhood until it's nothing but a ruin.
In before "but it's war!". Then shut up as you're the one who started it and don't call others warmongers then.
When we looked at the relics of the precursors, we saw the height civilization can attain.
When we looked at their ruins, we marked the danger of that height.

People hate Thrall because he coward. Even at the end he couldn't face truth and admit he was half responsible for Garrosh and his actions.
Also Varian died like true badass and king who care about his people.
Genn would fuck her shit if not lantern focus.
Why do we have to lose Genn just because you've lost leaders? I don't understand this "balance" thing that has to be perfectly done with Warcraft. Let the story be a story. If anything, we deserve to keep our leaders because of the hostility the Horde has brought over the years.
I'm sure a post ping-pong against a self-professed Jaylock-wannabe is very productive...

Last time I checked, Cairne got killed by Garry.
As opposed to Horde paragons, the savage warlords of the Alliance haven't yet developed the highly conservative custom of killing each other like there's no tomorrow, be it with Magatha's "blessing" or Malkorok's knife.
I suppose the shameless uncivilisation of the dwarves, reaching such filthy heights as Moira just returning from Shadowforge with a son and taking a seat on the triple hammer council only serves to exacerbate how irrational it is that Allied leaders don't just keep dropping like Horde ones flies.
If Genn was to die, the only way it could be anything else than Blizzard telling Allies to unsub the fook already, it would have to be mirroring Sylvie's final death. Somehow I don't see that coming.
Because it's a game, not just a story. We have players who are invested on both sides of the "Story". If they kill off another Warchief because of the "story" then it becomes blatant favoritism, and even worse writing.
Every time Alliance loses a leader it's by some heroic sacrifice. Bolvar sacrifices himself to become the Lich king and save everyone. Varian sacrifices himself so his people can get away. Magni is suddenly back from the dead and the speaker of the World Soul. Anduid is being made out as the holy fucking chosen one.
Meanwhile Thrall just can't handle the job and quits. Garrosh becomes orc-hitler. Cairne gets killed by one of our own. Vol'jin gets stabbed and dies like a punk. Gallywix has done literally NOTHING since goblins were introduced. Sylvanas doesn't even want to be warchief and even the horde thinks she's a shady deceitful bitch half the time.
Do you see where this is going? Why should the alliance actually lose a leader? Because people are sick of the alliance always being the mary-sue good guys that always win. Because it might add some believable writing to a trend of one-sided storytelling.

Darius Crowley is the only cool Alliance dude right now. And Mekkatorque.
Varian died heroically yes but it's the most recent heroic thing he has one. Only a few people know of Bolvar's sacrifice and even then it gets overwritten due to how ruthless he's been acting in Legion. Magni being the World speaker is nice but he's more neutral now then ever(Much like Khadgar who is also neutral). Your post is incredibly ironic considering how much Blizzard *Favors* Horde.

What kind of horde favoritism have you seen since MoP? Are you just talking out of habit, or what? Every single one of our leaders right now is complete and utter shit except for Saurfang, and he's more of a chuck norris joke than anything else. Let's go down the list of horde leaders:
Cairne: Did nothing while leader of the tauren but get killed by Garrosh.
Baine: Done virtually nothing since he became the tauren leader
LOL'themar: done virtually nothing except a few cameos.
Gallywix: Might as well not exist considering how little he's been involved in ANY part of the story or game.
Vol'jin: Did nothing as Warchief. Trolls still don't have a replacement leader
Sylvanas: One character with halfway decent story, but is still made out to be evil, deceitful, and selfish, and did nothing during Legion except get thwarted by Genn.
Thrall: Defunct. Hasn't done anything significant since Cata except cheat in order to kill an already defeated Garrosh, and hand off Doomhammer to the players.
Where is this horde favoritism you speak of then? Ever since Garrosh took over and screwed everything up(including getting the Horde capitol city sacked), the horde has done nothing be get shit on constantly. The only character we have left with ANY development is Sylvanas.
