I do remember my first character and it was a undead warlock, then again I still have that character active though it went trough race and faction changes.

Silithus doing some of the few quests there. Had a ton left when I dinged - never grinded mobs without quests. If I wanted extra exp I went into a dungeon.

Winterspring. I think I was skinning some mobs to save up for an epic mount but it's been so long I might be wrong. I do remember it was Winterspring though. One of my favourite zones in the game, I really liked the atmosphere there.

The announcement of Classic WoW has brought back some memories. One of them was the seemingly impossibly slow pace from 58 to 60. Like many others, the final bars on 59 were a true grind-fest (but we didn't complain back then). I remember spending a few hours on the ice of Lake Kel'Theril in Winterspring, killing the tormented spirits over and over...

Where did you grind it out at level 59, to get to 60 the very first time?

I was 58 for the longest time. Only when TBC came out did I level to 60 in Hellfire Peninsula. Leveling those last 2 was a fucking horrendous thing in Vanilla.

Grinding slugs in Felwood by Bloodvenom Falls, was too lazy to find more quests/do more dungeons so I just grinded those for no reason.

I wasn't grinding. I was doing quests in Winterspring. Had my first Epic drop, the Taran Icebreaker, an hour or two before so twas a good day
