It's the final patch of BfA. An all out war between the Alliance and Horde, and the Alliance is winning. The final battle is taking place in Quel'thalas, near the Sunwell.

Greymane wants to destroy Sylvanas once and for all, so he takes Nathanos hostage and threatens to kill him if Sylvanas doesn't give herself up. Sylvanas without hesitation sacrifices herself for the man she loves, and the entire playerbase sees once and for all that yes, she cares about more than herself.

After Sylvanas gives herself up, Nathanos tells Greymane that if she was going down, he would too. Greymane is giddy with glee, and prepares to cast Sylvanas and Nathanos into the sunwell, for undead are destroyed by the light.

Sylvanas and Nathanos jump in together, and all the faction leaders watch--some happy, some somber, but instead of burning to a crisp, a few minutes later a high elf and a human step out. Instead of being destroyed, Sylvanas and Nathanos are brought back to life, giving them a second chance that the Lich King took from them.

Ofc thats gonna be the story of WoW2 : when all major current faction leaders will be dead and when army of the light vs army of the void will be the 2 major factions with the majority of activity taking place outside Azeroth.

They step out of the sunwell, both marveling at how they're living, breathing beings again, and then Sylvanas suddenly feels a warm sensation tingling down her chest. She turns to see Greymane standing their, his pistol smoking.

"That was for Liam."

Next he turns it toward Nathanos and fires again.

"That was for Gilneas."

Then he throws a vial of explosive mixture other their dying bodies, setting them aflame.

"That was for Varian."

Alliance wouldn't ever throw them into the sunwell. A whole race of elves require it to stay alive. Alliance doesn't do the whole genocide thing. Just throwing one necromancers ashes into it the first time corrupted it. Throwing two undead wouldn't be the best idea.

If this did happen then they would be captured and have their heads cut off right after.

Genn wouldn't do that anyways because that's not how the sunwell works... It's a font of holy arcane energy, not a pool of burning liquid... It's called the sunwell because of the light it emits, not it's temperature... This is common knowledge, at least in universe.
