In regards to the Moonguard/Project 60 drama

the event shouldn't be allowed on an rp server. it does nothing but bog down a server with an event that isn't relevant to the server. it really doesn't need to be allowed to happen, and blizzard should force them to move.

What he did say is that they went to Moonguard because it’s a realm that doesn’t have sharding, therefore everyone can see/play with each other without worrying about that shit. All rp realms don’t have sharding so it wouldn’t have made a difference which one they went to.

Honestly it’s a bunch of delusional people thinking that these streamers specifically targeted them. They’ve all stated it’s due to sharding, before they even went there they said it was due to sharding. Delusional people will be delusional though.

I get that the RP community is a bit upset over this and I kind of understand why if it’s causing lag or anything like that but the people who are upset because they think the evil streamers targeted their realm specifically because of its status are crazy.

Most on Blizzard's actual forums got deleted, moved, etc when they change forum formats.

That's a naming policy, pretty sure there are hundreds of people on MoonGuard who don't roleplay or even care about roleplay at all. Like, sure if your name is 'Cockwomble' or some other nonsense, you'll be flagged for a re-name; but I've never heard of Blizzard ENFORCING roleplay on RP servers, not to mention banning offenders.

RP on MoonGuard and WrA isn't even as 'open' as they pretend it is, and unless you're actively working towards getting known on RP Tumblr/Twitter and private discords- you're unlikely to ever transcend to any level of server personality; them being there disrupting ERP in Goldshire seems like a reach (at best). I'm not a roleplayer but some of my friends are, so this is anecdotal at best.

What do you mean by 'fucking over' ? My monk is on Moonguard and I haven't noticed anything at all... trade chat is aids as usually, the trick on MG is to disable /2 and hop into /4 because for some reason LFG is extremely active there and a lot more respectable than trade.

No one in their right mind even chills in goldshire on MG anyway so anyone complaining about that place can just fuck off lol

I play on Moon Guard and I haven't had a problem with them yet. The only thing I've seen is a bunch of P60 dumbasses getting their asses handed to them by the vanilla bosses, however, and it's fucking hilarious.

Sorry guys for not catching this a bit sooner but I did want to reply to this.
Since it hasn't been stated recently that I can find anywhere I just wanted to reassure you guys that the usual rules as well as the subset of rules for RP servers still applies. So if you're being harassed by players or seeing players with non RP names that are clearly ridiculous, please report them. We rely on player reports so as long as you are reporting these players our lovely Game Masters can investigate.
While I love seeing the passion and influx that Project 60 has brought on and sparked into the community, its important to be respectful of players on these RP servers who are there because it is their place to have an RP focused community (hence the subset of RP server rules and server designation).

That's what I don't get. Why call it Project 60 and say you are simulating the experience from classic when none of it is true at all? Even getting greys and stuff is different than it was then with how much dps it increases. None of it is remotely close to it other than saying "No mount until X level" That's about the only thing that is close. Oh and no heirlooms.

I mean it's obviously impossible to recreate the vanilla 60 experience on live realms, so this is the "nearest" they can do. Don't see any harm in it personally, and I atleast get some enjoyment from watching their streams. The 6 players vs 40 is their way of "balancing" it out, or atleast making the content remotely challenging.

Well...i think it's more of a situation of "Beggars can't be choosers".
What other alternative do they have without pissing Blizzard off? Playing on a private server would be a slap in the face to Blizzard.

My computer is broken right now so i can't watch streams. But the one stream i watched of Project 60 was a 3 hour wipe fest in Blackwing Lair and they eventually gave up on Chromaggus after god knows how many attempts.
It was fun because they couldn't use repair bots, so they had to walk all the way down to to the low level instance (forgot the name) and walk all the way back up to BWL.

Man, they had to repair so many times and it was so painful to watch them slowly walk for 5min just so they could repair xD ahah it was fun

Asmongold and Soda picked an RP realm for the no phasing, which is fine, but picked Moon Guard for the sake of views. Has ended up with the more toxic sides of their fandoms trolling RP events and areas. It isn't all of them, but it was enough to make them realize they should have picked a small RP realm. They learned their lesson andare doing Prokect 70 on a dead Horde RP server.
