What is 7.3.5

For the first time since a long long time, I don't understand what this patch is.
By all the datamined stuff I see, this looks more like a pre-expansion patch, a 8.0 patch.
I see the allied races in it, zone changes to reflect BfA..
Will we get to play with the first 2 allied races already before 8.0?

I'm really confused by this. What kind of patch is 7.3.5 ??

They don't want it to be said that they're going to leave us 12 months with no content so they'll release 7.3.5 with allied races and maybe one or two other BFA features so we have something to do for the next 4-6 months.

Prepatch will be 4-5 weeks before the expansion as always when they release the majority of BFA features and a pre-release event like Broken Shore.

Well for sure there is a BG, Ulduar TW raid, and some questing that may be there when 7.3.5 goes live or possibly they hold off like with what they did with Magni the week before 7.0 went live.

Many of us believe it'll also open up some of the Allied races at some point as well.

Based on it's number you can see it belongs into the group labeled as Minor patches.

Yeah opening up a few allied races before 8.0 would be nice. I'd level that with the zone scaling

Well, item squish isnt coming in 7.3.5 right?

Didn't read anything about the squish. I don't think they'll do that before 8.0. The new raid just opened, and that would require a lot of tuning to get it right.

It's less of a pre-expansion patch and more of a post-expansion patch. The allied races are going in most likely because they'll be unlocked before 8.0, probably via pre-order bonus. The level scaling is going in because Blizzard want it ready for allied race levelling.

Everything else is mainly just filler to tide players over until 8.0.
