what a fucking play by wilson
Eagles were conservative on that challenge because of the lost one earlier. Too bad, they would have won easily. Bad play by the refs.
Wilson delivering some magic of his own (including some forward pass magic passed the line of scrimage).
Let's see if the Eagles can answer.
Wentz decidedly less magical there.
Fucking Eagles. Needed them to win to keep us level with the Seahawks but win on tiebreakers but no, they had to shit the bed.
Yep. League stacks the deck against you by making you play against the other teams that ended the season at your position in the division. Then on top of that will typically make your schedule harder if you just had a really good season (more road games in a row, difficult opponents on short weeks, several games against difficult opponents at the very start or the very end of the season).
They like to enforce parity as much as they can. That's why it's so impressive when you get teams like the Seahawks and Steelers and Broncos and Patriots that continue to dominate year after year.
Well, depends. Exposed sounds like the Eagles are bad. They're not. But they made BIG mistakes today, both coaching and playing, and they will need to look at themselves and improve.
And they'll need to do it quickly, cause next week they are at the Rams, who have been pretty freaking hot themselves this season.
I will say this though, if they play like this against the Rams, they'll lose again and then saying they've been "exposed" is a lot more reasonable. Right now I'd go with "Eagles have come back down to earth".
Well said. Saying they're exposed after one game is silly. I guess the Saints were exposed last week too? And the Patriots in week 1? Let's see how they rebound next week before you throw stupid buzz words around.
I thought this game was closer than the score. Take away some of those silly mistakes (fumble in the endzone, not challenging the forward pass) and it looks a lot different. The outcome may be the same though.
Games like that bolsters my reasoning to keep Bevell around. Just absolutely masterful game planning and routes. Also helps Wilson killed the Eagles hopes and dreams on cover 0 blitzes.
Fire Tom Cable though.
Next week will be amazing.
Falcons at Saints on Thursday.
Vikings at Panthers early
Raiders at Chiefs early
Seahawks at Jags afternoon
Eagles at Rams afternoon
Ravens at Steelers Sunday night.
That's probably the best line up of the whole year. (and I get to watch all of it cause Patriots don't play till Monday)
