That's like, the opposite of nature. If we're going opposite day, then we need to go full opposite day. Blood Elves and Night Elves are technophiles, building things and harnessing the powers of technology and science, while Goblins and Gnomes are wielders of nature and arcane.
Funny enough, it reminds me of a story I read once like that... Orcs were the civilized nobles and humans the rowdy savages.
This sounds like a good basis for a Tinker class rather than trying to shoehorn technological concepts into a nature-based class. It didn't feel right with goblin shaman, it won't feel right for goblin/gnome druids.
Be seeing you guys on Bloodsail Buccaneers NA!
After they added mechanical pets to hunters, a mecha-druid suddenly makes a lot of sense. Mechanicals are like wild creatures now. Plus, if you think about the curse of flesh, mechanicals and organics are basically the same thing only one is under the effects of a curse.
That’s the antithesis of what a Druid is. Just call it a Mechtinker or some shit.
Yup. Gnome Ecologist and Goblin Timber Baron.
Everything is explainable in fiction. Because its all made up.
If the suits were made of wood and vines and flowers and shit, sure.
Throw some moonstones and sunstones on them, whatever.
But metal and gears? No.
They call Boomkins Lazer Chickens, so it could work lol
Yeah... you guys know that druids are about nature, right? You do know that technology itself is a polar opposite of nature, right? Natural vs artificial?
That's kind of like saying the Lightforged Draenei should be able to be warlocks, but instead of using shadow magic, they use the light to curse and summon light spawns. But they're still warlocks.
