Cod Black Ops starting problem

Hi,
I have a problem at starting CoD Black Ops its so : I start the Game and then my mouse gets to a sandclock and then nothing happens.
I tryed to verify the Game Datas and even newerd my Grafic driver but still nothing happens can some1 help me ?

I prefer console, why go with computer? Just curious

Also: It sounds more like a steam problem, I've had that in the past but it usually fixed itself.
