Why only cloaks for the back slot?

    Why not use:

    Banners (blademaster style)

    Ammo pouchs (hunters)

    Totems (Baine)

    Moonglaive (night Elf)

    Toolbox (gnomes-Goblins)

    Flamethrower

    Plague canisters (Forsaken)

    Alcohol keg (brewmaster)

    Jacket (Thrall new model)

    Travelbags

    Spears with skulls (Darkspear style)

    Weaponholders

Magical aura's glow in the back (Naruu - Blood Elf phoenix)

I see alot of options to use items in this slot yet they only use cloaks? Why not make this item slot more fun with more transmog and item options and just keep it covered with cloaks that look like carpets.

Great idea - I like it.

Nifty idea, I like it, though would the items match what race you have? Or could I have a machine pack as a human?

I liked the quivers in UO.

Awesome idea. Blizzard's excuse would probably be that it's too much work. They'd rather design an item that every race/class can use than having to make multiple variations of a back slot.

First decent idea to come from these forums in a while. With pictures for the argument, even. Good job, OP.

This would be really cool, although as Det pointed it, we're going to run into "x class shouldn't/should be able to use Y-item", which sorta defeats the point.

Didnt they talk about this at blizzcon 2013 ? as far as i remember they did talk about quivers and like having books and such attached to your belt

Good idea, though I could see them adding a new slot with these items without stats for cosmetic purposes only instead of putting them in the back slot.
