I'd hide it in the ceiling of the SW/ORG auction houses. Since it's in plain sight, nobody cares and since everyone is busy with their auctions, nobody would look.

Otherwise, plenty of options:
-in the furbolg logs sitting at the base of Teldrassil or between the branches themselves. Nobody goes there
-in Darkshore, near the southern border, in the south-east, under the furbolg camp there's a sentinel. She had a quest in Classic now Blizzard removed her quest but forgat her there. I'd give it to her. Nobody ever helps her anymore :'(
-in Feralas, in the tower north of Dire Maul with all the npcs
-in Ashenvale on top of a tree
-in Felwood there's a corrupted waterfall going to to Hyjal
-in Winterspring in the hidden grove
-in Hyjal at the bottom of the Well of Eternity
-in Azshara on the north sides near the mountain border
-in Moonglade north there's a bench sitting overlooking the view in the mountains
-in the uninstanced Ahn'quiraji
-in the relaxation camp between Felwood and Thousand Needles
-in the underwater cave in the sunken isle from Feralas
-on top of a mushroom in Darkshore south-east corner
-in the Pools of Vision in Thunder Bluff
