Strange merged server and guild question.

Ok so I have a weird situation. I have my main server and I'm in a guild there. I want to move to a different server but it's currently merged with us, will it keep me in my guild?

If your curious, just doing this to acquire a name I want available on that server but not my current one.

To the best of my knowledge (based on understanding how addons deal with merged realms, not doing an xfer like this), you have a different "player ID" as far as the game is concerned. So, no, it would almost certainly not retain your guild membership. You would need to be reinvited, and grind rep with the guild again.
