changed sword to wand for better multistrike (frost). No weapon enchant

Had a sword with Enchant Weapon - Mark of the Frostwolf. Very expensive. got a wand with better stats put Enchant Weapon - Mark of the Frostwolf on this...Big mistake I guess. Is there no enchant for wands?
Am I better using the sword with the Frostwolf enchant?

It says "melee weapon" o.O Does that mean it doesn't go on a wand? And if so, what are we meant to use then? But haven't they always said that? /confused

Most likely a bug or an oversight imo... Post on WoW Bugs forums and put in a ticket, you may get you mats back.

Got it on my 540 wand and it is workin. Not sure if troll?

I was at work when I started this thread. Read the tool tip ...wand is not a melee weapon.
After testing last night I can confirm the enchant does work on a wand.
Also wow heroes did not score my wand with the +30 it should get for this enchant. This is why I thought there may be trouble with this enchant.

This is why they should remove the "Shoot" ability from wands... All it does is make me pull bosses on accident >_>;

Or, y'know, classify enchants as "Non-Hunter weapons".

To be fair, Blizzard clearly made an oversight when it came to wands. Seriously, they need to scrap the archaic Wand Shoot and make us wap people with it.

... Or just scrap Wands altogether and let Mages/Warlocks use 1h Maces.
