Not getting bonus armor stat in gladiator stance?

I'm confused a bit. Do they want me to be in prot and tank to get gear for gladiator stance? I have maybe one piece with bonus armor.

You can set your loot preference (via your portrait) to protection whilst dpsing in glad stance.

It is on protection, but (current)protection. maybe it was switching in the heroics.

Could just be, yaknow, bad luck with loot rng like everyone has. Also keep in mind that only certain pieces can even roll with bonus armor iirc

Bonus Armor items are not the only items you'll get as Protection.

Just to be sure you know: only certain pieces can even have Bonus Armor on them. Cloaks, necks, rings, and trinkets are the only item slots where you'll find Bonus Armor. For the most part, you're better off going for a Strength trinket, and letting your friendly tank take any BA ones you find; so really you'll just want BA on neck, cloak, and rings (one of which will be your Legendary). That means, in terms of drops, you only need to worry about 3 items with BA on them.
