Trying to reach a player on another server

I tanked a wing of LFR Highmaul yesterday with a toon named Tinybaby from the Halycon guild on Lightbringer but forgot to ask if it was ok to add him to my Friends list. Anyone know of a way short of creating a toon briefly on that server of reaching him?

I didn't try this yet, but front page shows this:

I'd just make a toon there, myself... if he's not online you could send a letter along the lines of:

Hey! We tanked LFR together yesterday and I meant to ask if I could add you to my friends list. Nice/pleasant players are kind of hard to find these days (or whatever reason you want) so I'd be happy to run more stuff with you sometime - my Battletag is <insert Battletag> so add me up if that sounds fun. Take care!

That sounds like a good route as well which I'll try if I can't find the player online after a few attempts.
