Severs down, how do i make an EU acct as US?

I know i need to buy the game again via the EU store, but after that should i be able to connect to EU servers no problem? I just remember seeing a guy on stream who had to change locale files or some crap, hoping i dont have to do that.

I just made an EU account, its as simple as selecting from the drop down on the blizzard launcher.

Well clearly its outdated, because you just choose it from the drop down of accounts on the bnet launcher.

So no, it wasnt just a "google search away".
