    Searching for a "Stormwind" sword

So since the forum ate my last try creating this thread I'll give it anther shot.

I recently changed the transmog of my alliance rogue to T9. Together with the Stormwind tabbard and a shiny blue and gold cloak I've got the perfect Stormwind/SI:7 look.
Now comes the problem. I can't find any fitting weapons (especially swords) for this set. For daggers there is Dirk of the nightwatch from ToC, but fpr combat or sub I'll need different models.
So I searched the item databases and found a few cool looking swords, but they all had their problems.

Grand Marshal's Longsword: Don't have the needed PVP rank
Quel'Serrar: Paladins, Warriors, Death Knights, Monks only
The one from ToC with the lion shields as handguards (can't remember the name): removed from game

The only one left is Crusader's GLory, but that would only be a workaroung for me.

    Any ideas?

Could you just use any plain, basic grey sword from the AH? There's often simple models on there for a few gold. For my Rogue which rocks parts of the BC Assassin dungeon gear, a red eyepatch and MC tier uses a cleaver I got off the AH and the Nightshade Dagger. Looks much better than using anything big and complicated.
Mount Count: 378. Newest addition: Arcadian War Derple

Yeah I thought of using one of the simpler, "realistic" models (there is one with an blue/gold hilt), but I want to have something "bigger". I mean we are playing WoW...the agme were the shoulders are so big, that if you lift your arm you decapitate yourself ^^

    You could try: http://www.wowhead.com/item=11817/lord-generals-sword

or get to the old season 2 vendors in outlands and buy:

TBC can be a good source of 'bigger, shiny' swords, so have a look. http://wow.mmosite.com/updates/one_handed_swords.shtml

I'd go with this one personally http://www.wowhead.com/item=29156/ho...ll#screenshots I think it looks stormwindy and knightly.

I think the one from Anub in ToC would look best but there is also the
    Steelforged Saber
The last upgraded version is very shiny with lots of blue and gold

    Can't post links yet sorry

can one transmog / enchant away the glow of honors call tho?
the hardest thing about finding good weapons is finding one without unecessary glow

Yeah, the new blacksmithing weapons are amazing for specifically that purpose - being simple yet elegant and flashy. Plus they come in perfect alliance colors.
Here's the link to the 3rd stage - Steelforged Saber, but OP can choose any stage to his needed level of simplicity.

I found the Night Watch Shortsword to be a pretty decent and simple stormwind guard option. Might not be what Op wants but could appeal to others looking for something a tad less ostentatious, and takes weapon enchant glows well.

Bone Collector Sword, perfect match used to use a similar setup myself

http://www.wowhead.com/item=33791/he...pper-longsword - Heavy Copper Longsword. Sheath's on back. Blacksmith recipe.

    http://www.wowhead.com/item=61620/revilgazs-cutlass - a snazzy cutlass.

http://www.wowhead.com/item=39127/se...ld-iron-slicer - a nice short-sword with a bronze pommel and crossguard, and a blue grip.

    http://www.wowhead.com/item=56646/shredder-blade - a scimitar with a gold crossguard and pommel and a gold/blue grip.

http://www.wowhead.com/item=11817/lord-generals-sword - think it's a broad-sword/longsword. Hilt has similar colouring to the scimitar above.

http://www.wowhead.com/item=869/dazzling-longsword - another longsword with a gold crossguard and pommel, with a brown grip.

Just my personal picks. I'm of the opinion that big, chunky swords is off-putting for a rogue.
