How long will it take to finally aclimatize those 100-200 new WoW employees?

I can't remember, was it 100 or 200 new workers on WoW they said they added after they gutted Titan and whatever else they were doing?

Either way, these employees were already Blizzard employess (probably most of them), which means that they weren't incompetent or complete newbies to begin with, as such, they should at least be familiar with the programming, networking, art and story tools that Blizzard probably uses across all their new games.

It's been how long, over a year since they announced this large influx of new WoW developers? How much longer do you think will take until we see the fruits of this exodus?

Personally, if the next expansion should launch about a year from now, I expect it to have the largest number of quality zones, quests, dungeons, raids and battlegrounds ever to be released in any expansion.

Threads questioning blizz workers arent allowed, because like last week I asked the same thing and my thread got locked because the mod got a rise out of it or something, even though it was a perfectly normal question.

Anyway Blizz probably said that so they had an "excuse" as to why WoD took so long and came with barely anything in it. (Need to train new people yada yada :rolleyes) When the sad truth is the next expansion is gonna take just as long.

Those extra workers are probably in the billing department or overwatch

    Keep on dreaming.

It'll take until their sub numbers start dropping from lack of content and quality.

You mean a reskinned horse mount with wings? Maybe lacking wings?

At least a raid tier. Also by the time they train these people, they will have doubled their team for the 3rd time and then they have to train those people.

So basically you're asking if we know when the next expac is out and what kind of features/content it will have?
    *shrug*

Maybe they'll get used to it in an expansion or two.

Oh don't worry, the team is working on new stuff, but the thing is, we aren't gonna receive it in a content patch. No, they are going to ship it as a new expansion.
Why release an expansion every 2 years and then supplement it with content patches, when they can release an expansion every year, and thus get double money from expansion sales?

Of course, it will be just as barebone expansion as WoD was. No new classes, races, or dynamic world content. Bunch of medium sized zones, 6-7 dungeons, and 1-2 raids, this time with 5 difficulties!

Imagine if restaurant kept serving undercooked, slightly rotten food, with really small servings, and yet people kept buying it like crazy, why the hell would the management, or chef change anything? No, they are the smart ones, not sure if same thing can be said about customers.

First, Blizzard never said "new employees". It said "more people work on WoW".
These people come from Titan, a cancelled project.

Second, this is before hearthstone/heroes of the storm.
Now, these people must work on these new games.

It takes time to roll all those millions on 200 new bank accounts. And then you gotta buy expensive cars, cruise around in SoCal, looking for fancy houses to buy. And then you gotta tailor-build thrones for all those new guys. Throw a big welcoming party. Where do you get all the A-grade strippers for that? That takes time. Living the glorious life in the game industry is tougher than you think. Someone should really make a 45 minute Youtube rant about it.

Pointless thread since no one knows just how Blizzard employees are assigned to teams. Given the quality of many of the responses so far there's nothing constructive happening in the thread so it will be closed.
