Well I guess this post says all about the "seriousness" of this thread, since he received no positive reactions whatsoever.

And you'll not receive one from me either. Even if I have no love for gnomes, they're still a completely unique race, where high elves would just be blood elf clones.

I'd love to be able to play as a high elf, but not at the expense of any of the current races. Most of them have been around since Vanilla, including the gnomes. They may be the designated "joke" race, but taking them out would be a horrible idea. It'd be like taking out the trolls and replacing them with ogres.
