This is what socialism does boys and girls, if you can't handle it in game, you're going to get rekt by it in real life, when you are working 60 hours a week and some baby momma drama hood queen with 14 babies is drawing welfare and bitching she needs more haha.............WoW socialism at it's finest.

In all fairness, you may have to press several buttons.

It's intellectually-dishonest to call them choices. Any raid group worth its salt is going to force their raiders to do all of that, and as a result the community will adopt that as its cookie cutter, just like they did with dailies, reforging, and talents.
You just sticked to grind part of this idea which would last 1-2 minutes only if you would have 1 weapon skill. You made this like 10 years of grinding to be able to raid. With that way of thinking Blizz can't introduce anything because everything new will be rejected for being a chore or mandatory.

You need more mods. I only press one.

    Agree with OP.
I played since Vanilla and it was great honestly...."but what about those rose tinted goggles?" Well I play on a Vanilla server now anyways and it's fantastic, 4-8k people online at any given time and these people are actually in the world it's amazing! I play WoD with my gold token and the only thing I do is my garrison every couple of days for gold and my 2 pieces of gear per week. I never see other players, and I don't need to I just open my cache and BAM epics HAHAHAH. Puuuuuuure garbage

Biggest issue was them releasing a matchmaking system for group content that is not curated in any shape and form allowing assholes to be assholes with no penalty. The assholes were always there, but social server control kept them in check...

Blizzard has historically been unable to find a middle ground or grey area with just about every single issue that has ever arisen with this game.

    Thus, here we are today.

I think we've all made the issues with WoW apparent, no need to remind us. WE ALL KNOW, trust me. -_-

boring, Why EVERYTHING should be now FUN? Are you happy to sit in your garrison now pressing buttons and getting epics on your mail? Yeah that sounds really fun and engaging.
Those things made u MOVE on the world and meet ppl. These things made shit to happen. example i remember "oh i have to go buy new skills. Crap my hs is on cooldown" well then i run to the nearest trainer and on the way there i faced this one human warrior. Yes he raped me. He raped me again. I called ppl to help me and ppl came. Same thing did the human warrior. There we had wpvp going on because all these things what happened earlier. Those things were FUN. It made the game to feel ALIVE.

But yeah. f#ck that. "i want to play this MASSIVEMULTIPLAYERONLINEGAME alone in my garrison and get my free epics in my mail". For what? to be afk in LFR? Yeah so much fun..

Let's get one thing straight here.

Gear in itself is not fun. That's not what the causal playerbase is saying at all. It's not about the gear. We don't want free gear so we can sit around and feel badass, repeatedly claiming otherwise will not make it true. We want something to do that isn't mindless grinding.

Gameplay options are severely limited for anyone who refuses to raid or dedicate themselves to PvP, which was in fact NOT the case with ANY of the other expansions, not even TBC, and it's got nothing to do with the removal of pointless grindy systems. It's simply got to do with the fact that they chose to either ignore immersive repeatable content (most obviously dailies and professions) entirely or make it incredibly grindy.

The only gearing issue I'm seeing is that entry level outdoor content at level 100 is overtuned. The problem with this isn't the difficulty of the content itself, I mean... you just watch out while pulling. Big whoop. The very real issue however is that said content is 100% grind, which combined with the whole 'overtuned' problem turns it into an artificially lengthened grind. Yum yum, nothing tastier than that.

To me that was the really shitty part about the Golden Lotus daily grind.

It was tuned so that raiders, who "needed" the gear, could blow through it quickly in groups.

If you were unfortunate enough to be in the position of (1) not being an organized raider thus not decked out in starter purples and (2) not being a hunter or warlock, then you were pretty much fucked, as you slogged through mobs at 1/10 the speed of "l33t" raider groups.

At least Molten Front and Timeless Isle made a serious effort to buff individual players to the point where they weren't horribly gimped vs a pack of raiding brotards.
