    Versatility Potion? Yes/No?

1500 Versatility vs. 1000 Strength? Since our ingame charsheet has been butchered and I'm too lazy to get an addon or do the math that I'm not up to date with: What is better?

1500 Vers. would be ~11.53% more damage (given that your character has 0 versatility to begin with). 1000 Strength is about 1/8th of my current (buffed) value -> +12.5%. But normalized weapon damage is not 100% dependend on str/attack power. So Versa should be better? Right?

My own simulations give me an increase in damage. It will depend on gear I think, but at very high gear levels versatility pulls ahead.

depends on your stats overall not just str, but also your mastery is important, at a certain value vers surpasses mastery.
at my gear lvl mastery is still higher and versa even lower.

Well there is only a Str- or Vers-potion. So?

For me as WB/IR Fury the vers potion sims significantly better than the strength one, ~+400 dps overall which makes sense since 1 vers = 0.83 str for me. Gonna vary a bit depending on gear and spec etc but I suspect the vers potion will be better for almost everyone. Vers also reduces damage taken by a bit of course which is a nice bonus.

My simulations say your simulations are flawed.

ok, maybe my words were not clear enough, versatility value increases the more mastery you have. therefore it is important for your potion question how much mastery you have too. just wanted to point out that you cant compare str - vers potion properly without including everything else.

Are you Prot? If so, then yes, vers Pot. DPS use Strength Pots.
