Stuck on Arluin's Request quest

How do I complete this? I have to go feed an NPC in the city a piec eof the Arcan'dor fruit, but the tree hasn;t got any: it only grew three pieces, one for each of the NPC's that live in Shal'Aran and which demand ancient mana now and then (but no longer do once you've fed them fruit)

Does the tree take time to grown more fruit or something?

I completed the Good Sumaritan line, this is just a final side-uqest of that chain.

I can;t see any way to finish it.

I sat there for ages, is it one of thos elisten to the dialogue ones?

OK, I went back and I got an extra option of dialogue with the NPC, befor eit was blank, guess I got a glitch somehow
