Are Action RPG's better than Tab Targeting RPG's?

Do you prefer Tab targeting or you think it's a thing of the past?
If there would be a "WoW 2" would you like it to be action based?
Some of the reasons i think Action RPG's are better than Tab Targeting:

Bigger Skill Cap

Action RPG's are hard to master by default. You need to dash/dodge attacks, do combos, learn attack patterns of bosses, know when is the right time to attack and the right time to stay away.
One good counter argument is that they are too hard to master and is "anti-casual"
You don't simply stay behind a boss doing DPS, you need to care for their attacks and animations and learn everything about said boss.

Fun

Don't hate me on this one because i know this is open to personal opinion but Action gameplay have good potential to be more fun than tab targeting.
You can dodge a fireball, you can sacrifice yourself to stand in front of one attack in order to save an ally, use traps, game physics, combos, dashes etc
Overall it has much more potential to do wacky stuff that you can't normally do in a tab targeting system.

Strong/Healthy Community

I played a action RPG game called Monter Hunter where all bosses have their unique habits and attack patterns.
In order to master the game you need to master and learn everything about each monster/boss.
In my case i specialised in defeating the boss "Basarios".
He had an attack that would poison all your allies so i used special unqiue gear that when you eat an Antidote all your party members would lose the poison status.
Because i specialised in defeating this boss i spent all time helping noobs defeating him and helping them with antidotes.
I was even in the leaderboards of people who deafeated Basarios the most times.

What i'm trying to say is an action Rpg strengthens the sense of community and fun in defeating the same bosses over and over.
You do it just so you can show off your skill and feel good about yourself because of how good you are defeating a specific boss that you spent time learning.
