Personally, I think swapping from pure dps to a hybrid with 1 spec option is kind of a bad idea unless you have an interest in healing.. but it's not like you're deleting your mage I guess.

No, I will keep playing on the Mage, but invest more time into Priest.

I dont really see the down side of investing into a class with one dps spec. It would just be the same if you invested all your time and AP into a pure dps class that has a shitty spec and had to respec and basically start from scratch
