    Nighthold scaling (focus on spell blade aluriel)

    Cross posting from wow forums for a larger pool of posters.

    Ok, from what I understand enemy health is supposed to scale with the size of your raid. However, I was checking logs and it seemed that the adds for Spell Blade Aluriel normal had the same amount of health for a group of 27 as ours had for 11... This seems a bit off.

    Can anyone from a large group (20-30) post how much health the fire adds have at that size? In our 11 man group they had 29m each.

    If they do not have more it seems a bit off that they say to bring 10-30 people, but keep health/damage/number of targeted players the same no matter how many you have, so a 10 man group needs to put out 3X the damage per player that a larger group does.

    In our 24 man raid according to our log they took 369.38m dmg and theres 6 of them so 61.5m (ish) each

    You can check this yourself on warcraftlogs pretty easily.

    30 man 38.63m
    10 man 12.46m
    20 man 25.54

    Can you link the logs where yours had 29m?

    2 spawns would be half that. Unless you only had one fire phase which is unlikely.

    your link was hc deja op was asking for normal

    edit: the fire adds have a lot less hp(about half) in heroic because you deal with them differently, so guessing thats where the op was confused between logs of different sizes.

    I'm showing 3 sets of adds - Fiery, Icy, Arcane. Respectively they had 677, 451, 450 million health and Aluriel had 1.84b for the fight with 22 people in the raid.

    Your raid had 2 sets of fire adds spawn 56.25m each add with 22

    My apologies... I do not know what happened, but when I check other logs it appears to scale. I just had the ONE log I checked with 27 people showed 9.2m dps with the fire adds last 31s for a total of 47m health per add or 1.76m health per add per player, versus our 2.63m health per add per payerl. When I check any other log it appears to be scaling up much faster (2.56m health per add per player) so I retract the objection I raised as it appears to scale almost as fast as raid size.

    So the only issue is debuff overlap, and a small amount of extra dps compared to health since you don't have to keep taking up more spaces with tanks so a higher percentage will be dps.
