Just another "accidental PVP flagging" forced PVP crap. Second reason, why I haven't bought Legion. I told it Blizzard many times already. I've payed money to transfer to PVE server and I don't want to have PVP in any shape or form. PVE server should be = permanent "hard" PVP flag disabling. We were fighting with this crap back in MOP, when TI brought some "tricking you into PVP" problems. We won and Blizzard promised, that since then problem have been fixed. But in Legion they started this crap again.

I have to tell it again. ON PVE SERVER NO PVP SHOULD HAPPEN WITHOUT MY OWN PERMISSION. Flagging me without my permission = violating rules of PVE server.

So. I won't buy Legion, till "hard" way to disable PVP on PVE servers won't be implemented. It should either be technically impossible or any activities, that can potentially flag me for PVP - should ask my permission to do it before allowing me to enter PVP zones.

You don't pvp on a pve server unless you either go into a pvp area or you enable it yourself.

Ahaha, yeah, that's silly. Druids are at some serious advantage there. Haven't been killed there yet because I'm fast to mount, but someone in the group always gets caught. Usually it's not a problem, they rez and off we go. Sometimes though, they enemy faction will ho out of their way to keep people grounded as long as possible, which is annoying.

Regardless of how long a WQ takes, it's even quicker with a group that auto populates and auto leaves when done.

It's mildly annoying. I tried running a while with only grouping on PvE servers and depending on the time of day, I'll be done with a quest before the first person joins or I get a group, so I went back to PvP. 9 times out of 10, it's not bad. I pretty much know when I'm going to get ganked, I zone in and see 3-5 Horde\Ally around me = dead. I find it kinda boring, but stick with the group is the correct answer there.

Most of the times, people just seem to want to hurry up and get the quest done, so splash damage is normally ignored\forgiven and folks move on. if I get in a group and they get distracted by PvP, I normally drop, Ain't nobody got time for that. I only hate when the system doesn't fade me back to my server for whatever reason.

Well, thanks for the suggestion about the checkbox in WQGF configuration. It's not 100% reliable, however. Unfortunately, there have still been a couple of times where I was auto-flagged. Fortunately no ganks for it yet. But I'm still always nervous about it.

Why group at all? Competition slows down how fast you finish. Cooperation speeds it up. Yes, anyone can hit the mobs just once or twice and get kill credit, but what about "clickies?" Like the faerie dragons with the thistle-sprites in Val'sharah. (That's a question because I haven't tried it alone).

It's more annoying when I don't get flagged and can't heal flagged people until I explicitly turn on pvp

It's also annoying to get killed by splash damage pretty much all the time on pvp servers as melee on popular objectives like world bosses.

That's some hardcore whining there. My PVP server alt lost like a grand total of 30 minutes playtime this expansion due to getting ganked/camped. I lost magnitudes more time to getting lost while traveling.
My PVE server main got flagged hundreds of times during WQs and I can't recall a single incident. Yep, you're a whiner.

Then you can stay away.
They have a grace period, they warn you.

PvP flagging is not a requirement in all PvP world quest zones to kill and therefore progress.
So unless blizzard make that a requirement for any progress, then such an avoidance could be exploited.
Murloc Freedom for instance, which does not require PvP flagging to allow attacking the NPC's.
Clearly demonstrated when the quest is not active on a PvE realm.

Arguably there is merit in saying that moving to PvE realm should deflag you.
Afterall it is just the "rules of the realm" applying when you get flagged on PvP realm, so you can ask why the opposite does not happen, in that when transferring to a PvE realm you should not be flagged unless you specifically opt into it, with the consequences that come with that.

People on PvE realms shouldn't get flagged when pugged into PvP realms. Had a rogue chase me around Karazahn last night because the group zoned me into a goddamn PvP realm. Made it inside the instance before he could get me but it's still annoying.

Then you're making it so that their realm isn't a PVP realm. Easier identification of realms being PVP and PVE would be the best solution, then you can choose whether you want to risk joining a PVP realm group. Anything beyond that is selfish IMO.

i never understood this complain about getting flagged.
I played my entire life in a pvp server and i can count the amount of times the other faction attacked me in legion with one hand, 99% of the times noone even bothers to attack.

Legion is actually the expansion who protect the most PVE servers. It's IMPOSSIBLE to be flagged for PVP without you doing something waranting it.

If you enter a PVP zone and not leave it when prompted, you're an idiot.

When you join an interserver group on a PVP server, you're an idiot.

That's the only 2 way to be flagged (outside the obvious /pvp )
