Will we get infracted for bumping an older post in fun

Will we get infracted for bumping an older post in fun OT, the reason I ask is instead of starting a new post, that might be kind of a dublicate without realizing it, are there some forums that it's ok to necro bump an older thread in a slower moving forum?

(Meaning bumping another thread that is older in a slower moving forum rather than run the risk of a duplicate thread)

I bumped an old thread a while back, it was from BC era regarding Illidan. I got away with it because it was sort of relevant to the current expansion. still got locked though but no infraction

Best rule of thumb: don't bump really old posts. If you're unsure, ask a moderator/global.

Bumping old posts tends to bring old and sometimes incorrect information back up to the front that can confuse people on the forum.
