What made Timeless Island a success, and Argus a failure

I don't think you understand what a sandbox game is, if you think Timeless Isles is remotely close to one.

Sandbox to me is, there's content out there. We're not going to give you quests or pointers on where to find it or what exactly to do. Go crazy and do whatever you want.

I don't remember Timeless Isle having much of a point. There were no quests, no reputation. I just went there, grinded for a while, killed a rare or two, then left. There wasn't much lore on the island. It was very much a "we need content and have no story ideas so here you go" island.
