Doesn't look like Deathwing at all?
If anything, it looks 1000x cooler than Deathwing does.
heh, was about to say its just another dragon, but it does look a lot like deathwing, but he looks more awesome imo, love that metallic look.
So WoW invented dragons then?
Doesn't really remind me of DW at all tbh. The open chest and big jaw? I guess. But overall I don't think so.
Congrats on finally finding something that's already over a year old.
The Shatterer is a dragon, Deathwing is a dragon. Both look like dragons, doesn't mean that the Shatterer is a copy of Deathwing.
FFXIV: Rintha Elenah | WoW: Rinth | GW2: Reno Turan
Western dragonlore is largely similiar, so saying that someone copied another just starts an endless chain of crap that nobody will want to see the end of.
I see the similarities... but this guy looks much better. Mainly because his chin isn't so dominant of his overall visage.
You guys are blind, it looks like a purple deathwing. What movie are you watching?
Looks like a rip-off if you ask me.
This is pretty old and correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure that dragon on Guild Wars 2 was displayed even before cataclysm was released, so if you're inmplying they copied it from World of Warcraft I would highly doubt it.
Will admit they have some of the same characteristics but still look different enough.
I would probably start raid again if wow did make Deathwing look like that. and not like fucking paper.
Holy cr-! That game looks awesome!
Gonna check up a lot more on it. Thanks, OP!
is this kind of tread going to come with EVERY dragon they reveal for GW2?
It´s a goddamn big dragon, they all look somewhat alike.
In the end the winner is still the last man standing.
Dear OP:
World of Warcraft, as you know by now, did not invent dragons. Actually World of Warcraft borrowed heavily from games like Dungeons and Dragons, where the dragons are seperated by colors (which WoW calls "Aspects). As all fantasy-genre is heavily influenced by Dungeons and Dragons which, in turn, was partly influenced by mythology and culture (something else WoW borrows from), it is doubtful that the dragon in that movie is Deathwing.
Yeah that Guild Wars 2 dragon has been in concept art for years, in fact I'm fairly sure it was one of the first things Arenanet designed for GW2. Don't quote me on that though, my memory is notoriously bad.
