Im gonna rule like a baws.
I totally agree. This will probably be an amazing expansion!![]()
I really like the idea (i think i understood it right) that Blizzard wont main a boss and just put it up there, feels like a real world.
But please people, didnt you tell me that CATA would be awesome when i hated it? Why not just accept haters now? I hate cause i think MoP will be terrible, BUT if it turns out to be good, i will buy it.
Im just tired of seeing the same "heres the list of changes" "OMG AWESOME GONNA BE THE BEST EXPANSION!" I hate hype. Everyone including me said that TBC would kill WoW but it made it better. Hype does the opposite most of the time im sorry.
I know its hard for people that started late to understand but they will propably learn it sooner or later, then they will come to the dark side, start "hating" and get negativity upon them.
I am not saying that it will 100% suck, but i think many aspects will stink, but some aspects might be successfull, so successfull im going to like WoW again and buy it.

Blizzard about balance:
PvP: Execute Melee/Needs Rage(issue) 30k noncrit : Shadowburn Ranged/mana(nonissue) 130k noncrit, can you explain?
-We try not to design abilities to be mirror images of each other.
I think the expansion will be pretty good, for a month before we die of boredom and await the content patch.
The way things are shaping up, you'll have enough to do outside of raids/dungeons that you shouldn't be bored before the first major content update. Now, whether that holds true for the patches afterward is something we'll have to see if Blizzard can pull off.

It's a lot more satisfying to crack someone in the face with a bamboo bo staff than it is with a broomstick, too.
Awesome sig by Elyaan is awesome.
The expansion will have an Main Antagonist in the end probably, something that has to do with the Sha (seen the art for it? totally looks like an Oldgod minion of epic d00m) but yeah, i totally like the changes they've made, probably will make the game feel even more fresh.
This got me thinking. Deathwing is a pretty cool looking dragon model and I don't think that it's him being boring. More that noone can really relate to a dragon. Especially a dragon where a good portion of the playerbase really doesn't know much about him.
Illidan pissed off Night Elf, Lich King is a paladin seduced by the dark side, Deathwing...big pissed off dragon...i dont even mind how blizz did Cata but you can't really biew a big pissed off dragon that flys around aimlessly to a more human type character with plans and goals.
As to the focus on war, i do like that idea but Wow can only do that to an extent. There cannot be an actual winner(unless MoP is the end of Wow and they dont care if one side wins alienating half the players). If there is a stalemate...well that would bring us right back where we started(and people will bitch that it was all for nothing).
What I would like them to do is something games like Warhammer Online wanted to do. Assuming neither side is ever allowed to win, it would be nice if the sides can gain territory(not like WG/TB) but have the zones phase as the sides go back and forth gaining an advantage whether through pvp or pve goals. But like WG/TB his wouldn't work because everything servers Horde:Alliance ratio is different.
Will be interesting to see what they have planning(since they used Blizzcon to announce pandas in pandaland but gave nothing as far as what were actually going to be doing)
Until we see a final product...it's all speculation.
I want to be the very best, like no one ever was.
Come at me, bro.
Will we have theorycrafters for the Pet Battle System?! I wonder if it will be competitive (hahaha); give me all your badges!
I saw a LOT of people asking for Vanilla style gameplay, including no main boss, a focus on faction wars, and a feeling of fun. I think MoP can offer that in most regards; but of course, now those people will be confused as to why Blizzard didn't follow what they wanted EXACTLY and because they got it 99% right, will cry about the 1%.
I think this is one of the issues with Deathwing. We are used to relating to roughly humanoid characters. Most (not all I know) dragons we have much dealings with spend a good deal of time in humanoid form (even Onyxia and Nefarian did). Its easier to relate to that way instead of just being some big hulk that flys across the skies blasting people.
Let me try.
When you have one main villain for an expansion everything else feels insignificant, so why not just stand around in cities saying you're bored.
Vanilla didn't have a main villain. It had lots. Onyxia, Nefarion, Ragnaros, C'thun, Kel'thuzad, and others. It always felt like there was something to do.
Maybe MoP, by letting each boss feel important, can bring back some of that. Or maybe not, but it's worth a try at this point.
