As someone who's put quite a few tatoos on people by now - don't listen to anyone when they have suggestions about what to put on your skin. THis is your skin, and therefore something you should come up with on your own.

When you're doing text work, you basically only have the typography to work with. Don't make the mistake and think people will generally either care what your tattoo says, nor understand it for that matter and nor should you care if they do. This is only for you and a few enthusiasts.
What you need to do is find a font that speaks to you, and settle on one whenever you're ready.

That being said..what people usually go for is something that resembles that periods writing. The 17th century had some pretty baller fonts around..
Check this. It doesn't really have to be legible to anyone but you..

    Think about it..

big advice, check the grammar yourself after they do do the pre inking stamp (unless they are doing it without), nothing worse than getting errors in tattoo text.

Got a fullsleeve myself, Cover of the album We Live, by Electric Wizard, and a big portrait of Cthulhu with an ocean themed backdrop.

    Funny

@Thread starter. I would first get the quote ink'd on to you. And just simply tell the artist you will be looking to expand on that area of text some time in the future. But think of something of interest / awesomeness for your self .

If you have any idea's tell your artist and get them to draw something for you. Simples.

Damn straight I've been really lucky with mine, both artists working on my sleeve are good friends of mine, had it almost for free, tossed them a bit of money for material costs
