So just a quick question, do short term haste buffs like borrowed time affect shadowfiend swing time when shadowfiend is cast while under these effects? Just wondering to know if this actually gives haste or I am just wasting mana for the shield.

I don't think Shadowfiends benefit from Borrowed time, but im pretty sure they can benefit from Heroism/Bloodlust. As for Power Infusion (Since it is included in your title), because the shadow fiend melees and Pi increases cast speed, I don't see that working either. Though, I never have tried PI, and never payed attention to the Borrowed time portion.

I tested both PI and BT. Neither affect shadowfiend.

Also, your Shadowfiend has to already be out to benefit from BL/Hero - you can't gain BL/Hero and then cast Shadowfiend... well you can! But it won't get the buff :P
