I recently got rid of my older xps laptop, only ever used it for the internet in bed in the morning. Now I'm missing it. instead of going out to get another laptop I was thinking about getting one of the cheap sub100$ tablets off ebay. Anyone come across/use one? Just trying to avoid wasting money.
For me tablets are not as good a buy as a netbook for browsing ect you should have a look into some of them as you can get really tidy 10" netbook with a bit more oomph than a tablet for around the same money.

Most of the cheap stuff is from China where they attempted to copy the "good" stuff. Sometimes it's successful but most of the time is a complete and utter failure.
android is utter crap unless you can put a custom rom on it. Try to find an HP touchpad, they're like 150$ now and can run webos/android ( WebOS has God-tier multitasking)
