Sci Fi FPSes..

Oookay it's that time again, my urge to RTS is rising, but this time it's mutated with my need to play Swtor and now I want a Sci Fi RTS. I've already played Starcraft 1 and 2 to death, and now I seem to have run out .... I've heard Empire At War is pretty awful, so I'm avoiding that, but does anyone know of any decent Sci Fi style RTS, preferably that are on Steam

Are you using the acronym FPS to stand for... first person strategy?

FPS generally refers to shooters. I would love to make some suggestions, but need to know what you are looking for here...

rage is honestly quite good (though it wasn't closer to release, with all the bugs), if only for celebrity voice actors. but don't bother if you've already played borderlands.
