It's quite possible that they will be having a tech beta very very soon. Perhaps this weekend. Fingers crossed; oh and for reference.

While we all patiently await the beta invites we so desperatly crave....anyone here currently play PS1? i just recently got back into it and i gotta say, i am loving Gunship piloting.

Starting to think there will be no beta for at least another two months.

Not entirely; it has been confirmed by Smedly (SOE CEO) that beta will start this month. On top of that; Matthew Higby (Creative Director) is apparently scheduled for a haircut this week, and why that may not mean much unless you know the deal that Higby made on a PSU Broadcast in which he said he wouldn't cut his hair until beta starts. To top that off, Higby posted this not too long ago; https://twitter.com/mhigby/status/222358272722731009. So beta is incredibly close, just hold on a bit longer; I feel your pain too, haha; been waiting for the game since last March.

So damn excited to play this. I have been fairly satisfied by Battlefield 3 and the occasional days of WW2 Online, but I need this! I am ready to experience an MMOFPS at the height of its player population again! Planetside only lost its appeal due to my shitty internet and the population going down.

If ya'll really want a good way to stay updated with Beta news and such please go to http://www.planetside-universe.com/ and drop in! It's a fantastic community and always has really good info on Planetside News. For example; Higby, the creative director for PS2 posted that they are actually going to have a Tech Test Beta this weekend (External Beta phase).

None of that works or directs me to the hardware survey and neither can I find the tabs you're talking about :/
