What's your favourite scent or smell?

As stated in the thread title, what's your favourite scent or smell? Ground coffee, freshly mown grass, perfume of a (former) lover?

For me it's when you first pour just boiling water over a good Earl Grey mix, that first waft that rises is just divine, and although it's not a very complicated scent (compared to some perfumes and such) it has the simple link added to it of a nice cup of tea in your immediate future. It makes me happy every time I smell it.

So what's yours? Fine wine, smell of cooking food or a fresh sea breeze?

I know people can be strange so I fully expect someone to post that has a more curious opinion, so do tell

    Pumpkin pie....
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Asphalt, really? never would have figured that, though I fully understand grass, especially freshly mown

I had a bet with myself I'd get someone like you on the first page

But I won't judge, it probably reminds you of nice afternoons spent doing mischivous deeds with friends

or your just trolling, either of those really

Oh that's a tough one. Probably fresh-baked bread, but closely followed by the sea, that smell you get after a good rainstorm, bacon ...

On my last contract when I was having to commute to London, I'd have to pass Sainsbury's while they were baking bread and doughnuts, and then the station cafe where they did bacon sandwiches every morning!! I got to work hungry every day! ><

    The air up in Tahoe.

Walnuts in the shelling machine, they smell much better and stronger as they are going through the sheller.
