Minimum wage where I am is $8.25 an hour. That is also before taxes and all that.... at my month and a half long job a couple months ago I was getting that, and taxes and such were taking out over a $1 to the hour. -.-

Here in Ukraine a 7$\hour is considered good and high above the "average" salary across the population. So yeah, talking about rich lifestyle. Average is about 3$\hour, however worth noting most people who get this kind of salary generally can be considered dumb and uneducated, even if they have bachelor degree. Sadly you can buy it without really studying

Are you translating those numbers to USD?

Minimum wage in Denmark is ~19$/hour before taxes. Taxes are abnormally high though.

yes, so its easier for you to comprehend.
Btw, minimal salary set by law is 150$\month. Pretty wild for a country situated in the heart of europe eh?

Made me giggle, just a little. Sorry.

At BurningStick, there isn't even a minimum wage system in use in Denmark, as far as I know. And if there was, 19$ an hour sounds abnormally high, even before taxes, are you sure you converted correctly?

That's one of the reasons I always go to Webhallen to pick it up myself. And I'm too cheap to pay 2,5-10 pounds for shipping.

Honestly FedEx, UPS, USPS, I have had terrible experiences with all of them when trying to mail large (not necessarily heavy) items. Its like their is a hidden check box "Do not play soccer with this item" that I always miss.

I just got my case today in the mail from UPS and the box had a nice size dent in it but the case wasn't

There is no national minimum wage, but there is one in pretty much every profession due to the collective agreements the unions make with the employees. The average minimum wage for an adult is around 103 DKK per hour, which is 19,01$ given the current exchange rate.

Sounds like America isn't the great place to be, at least not for a minimum wage position, since a lot of adults (at least new young adults) make under $10 USD an hour....
