    China doesn't exist in the wow universe. Panderans can wear whatever armor they want...as long as its leather =p

    Except for Samurai armor, since that's what caused the whole Pandaran-in-China dispute in the first place. :P

    As long it's a Panderan and not a Panda they can wear w/e they want.

    Supposedly, it's considered taboo to depict panda-like creatures in Japanese armor. The pandas have a very strong connection to China, so putting a panda in Japanese armor would be like putting Fritzl in a Crocodile Dundee costume.

    actually... early pandaren had japanese armor in warcraft art

    but chinese gov protested with the release of warcraft stuff in china against that (because jap-chin relationship isnt the best and pandas ARE the chinese trademark animal) so they changed it too :x
