    In Game Card Game

Who else would kinda like to see a card game (if ones is actually implemented) to be placed in game kinda like how Starwars Galaxies was, you could play it, or not entirely optional (just kinda like a minigame) maybe put a few "loot" card things in too where you could get some vanity pets or something in-game. The way you'd get new cards would be from free boosters every month, trading with friends, or maybe even buying some on the IG store.

    What do you guys think?

Would you want one implemented yes or no?

I think it should be less like the SWG card game and more like your character going to a tavern and finding an open table to play cards with others. Make it feel a bit more real.

That would divert development and design time away from polymock!

Oh that would be tight! I know in SWG me and my friends always went to a cantina (or his gunship if we had bounties lol) to play, i was talking more how the card system itself worked and less how you accessed it.

Getting pokemon? How so? I know WoW is getting pokemon-esque battles, but how is GW2?

If it would be anything like diplomacy in Vanguard, I would be all over it.

Would be sorta interesting, but I'd be curious to see how they'd make it work in the game. You can't just stick a card game in there and go, "We heard you like games, so we put a game in your game so you can get your game on while you game." Games have tried that before and it rarely feels "good" because it's so freaking random.

who needs card games when you can hit people in the head with a chair in bars

on a serious note, ye it would be nice, maybe even collectible cardgames to have some time/money sinks.
although I already put too much time in MTG

    +1

The cardgame in Digimon World was great fun, and it had the interaction element too, it wasn't just tacked on as an extra.

If they could somehow fit that into GW2 it'd be brilliant. They could put designated places in game where you can challenge other players, and possibly put some NPC's in that you can play against too.

FFIX was another game with (imo) a fantastic card battle system... certainly my favourite of the FF series (though actually I don't remember how many had one now, was it only VIII+IX?)

WTB triple triad from FF8 in wow.

its simple, but has that collect and build element to kill time. and games are fast so its perfect for some post-wipe time killing.

A Cardgame minigame would be awesome.
But I'd rather have a "common" card game than a complex one. Common, quick, easy cards are more rugular and older so should fit with the rest better.
