What new classes could SWTOR put in the game?

Clearly, the classes currently in game cover a lot of bases, and should keep players busy for a long time. However, what could Bioware create class-wise in future expansions?

It'd be nice to see something (alien?) that uses regular melee attacks (as opposed to lightsaber + the force) Or a version of the trooper that hybridises these things.

Actual Trooper for the Empire and erh, not sure what for the Republic yet..

Seeing how ACs (sort of) are the equilevant to WoW classes they could also add ACs instead (although that would mean adding 8 new classes instead of 4 each time they add them, hmmm perhaps not feasable afterall)

Think it would be cool if they created a class where you become part cyborg. Sort of like Grevious or Vader.

I honestly haven't given this too much thought even though I must admit that speculating and/or fantasizing about new classes is something I would be very interested to read up on.

They should take an animal and giv it common sense and then we should be able to play that as that animal #WorgenCharrDreneiAsuraTaurenetc

Oh wait ur talking about classes not races >.<
Well its hard not to follow the archetype of the list of classes in games, pretty much every mmo-rpg will hav similar classes to LotR / WoW in some way, even if is renamed. If Bioware could think up newer types of classes that would be pretty sick. I think thats where Star Wars will prevail over a lot of other competing mmo's because all its classes are space/sci-fi themed which is something never before seen in an mmo-rpg. Bioware could go anywhere with this game which is wat I think many ppl feel is particularly exciting about it.

Any alien species from the pod race introduction (extended / deleted scene - ep. 1) is good, as well as other species throughout the movies. This clip has alot of variety in a short period of time.

Cyborgs would be interesting, but then the dilemma: can a robot / droid actually make decisions? Can they actually be morally good or bad without being preprogrammed? Their AI is very good, but they have no soul, and were never shown to make love/hate decisions .. at least not in the movies.

definatly some kind of Unarmed class.

Taras Kasi for Empire and Echani Handmaiden for Republic.

    they've have two AC's one Dps/Heal one Dps/Tank.

that way I don't have to come back to WoW to get my Monk fix

I thought about this a bit awhile ago. I really have no idea what else they could actually add. My Star Wars knowledge is limited, but I just can't think of anything else they could use that would be different enough from what's already in the game. It's way to early for it to bug me though, and I'm sure bioware will think of something cool to put in when the time comes.

Entertainer - weapon: bare hands and whips /AC: dervish / bard-like healer with soothing songs? / sodomist
Beast Master -weapon: pets and whip /AC: trainer (more beasts)/ bully / tank with pets
Tech Specialist -weapon: explosives and tech /AC: demolitions / kolto engineer healer / nukes
Gladiator -weapon: many? /AC: tank / dual wield vibroblades / vibrostaff

Just a few simple classes they could do. They really could do anything they wanted to do.

    Just by remembering SWG:

    Beast Master
    Teras Kasi
    Trader
    Entertainer

Another 30 plus SWG classes but tbh most of them wouldn't 'fit' in TOR. The above 4 might.

isn't tech specialist pretty much just trooper/bounty hunter? BH use tech and troopers use demolitions.

Otherwise, I can't think of new classes for swtor, though I have been thinking about it, and they'd have a lot more work to do then normal mmos, what with all the VA and story they'd add in.

I just thought of a few things on the spot. I'm not claiming them to be good ideas. Some were straight up jokes.

    Trollsbane, Jedi sodomist. mwahaha

If that is choreographed, that would be entertaining indeed! It's still PG-13 if your opponent is properly serenaded first.

I'm thinking more along the lines of Greivous or Vader. Cyborgs that still have significant amounts of organic parts.

I guess another could be a Droid maker? Basically a pet class that tinkers with technology and utilizes lots of Robots.

There really are only 4 classes in the game, they just call the classes by different names based on faction.

If we go by kotor and d20 at least could see Jedi Sentinel and perhaps a Scout class.
I wonder if theyd made a new class or maybe even stick to making a new advanced class to save on dialogue.
