Will you sell your items for gold or real-life currency?

Just curious about whether people will be listing their items for sale on the gold auction house or the real-life currency auction house.

Both, depends on what do I need more.

Both, I may sell a few very good items if I find them on the RMAH to get a bit of money to buy things on the RMAH so I don't need to actually spend money. But other than that it will mostly be only the gold one.

Depends on item quality, usefulness of gold, and how well an item is selling for real money. Obviously gold will be the safer option, to be used for lower end items and things like crafting mats which can easily be undercut by others. I'll use my RMAH listings for rare or legendary items that aren't gonna be a dime a dozen and far more likely to actually sell.

going to sell everything for gold and then sell the gold for real money on AH. Just in case you are not aware; yes you can sell gold for money on AH since gold count as stack-able item rather then a currency in D3.

I feel like "oh yes, sell it all for money, it's going to own!" But, I think what's really going to happen is pre-teens and teens that don't want to work will be farming non-stop and selling things for values way below a true value, thus not worth it.

    We'll see though.

I think it'll just be gold for me. Loot will go something like this, can I use it on the main character I'm working on at the moment? No? Can my friends? No, can I use it on my other characters? No... can I break it down for something useful for crafting? No... THEN i'll think about selling it. Do I need gold for any gear or upgrades? Yes... sell for gold. If I absolutely do not need any gold, and it's likely to sell, then I might consider selling it for cash. But to be honest, I expect to be using most of the gear for myself or my friends characters.

I'm really not playing D3 expecting any sort of real $ cashout.

I will try to get some return on D3. More than likely just going to get some candy every few weeks though.

Almost exclusively the gold AH, except for very rare near-perfect items. Will probably be able to sell gold on the RMAH anyways.

Mostly for Gold, if I loot very, very rare item (like inferno's version of Tyrael's Might), then for $. I will also sell gold for $.

That last part is confirmed. Gold and money will very likely have a 'set' value defined by the market's demand and supply, fluctuating somewhat over time (probably inflating as supply increases, until a reset, if they do them, and then the process repeats itself.)

    Both of them obviously.

I definitely won't buy, but if I run across something extremely rare I'd list it for money instead of gold for sure.

depends on the item, the averages "point stick of slaying" I'll stick up for gold, but if I get something rreeaally smexy I'll stick it up for cash and make myself a lil summin summin

I'll probably experiment, but I will just end up selling items for gold.

People will realize that items aren't worth much at all, especially considering the Blizzard cut and PayPal cut.

Currently I'm not totally comfortable with the thought of selling ingamestuff for real money but I guess it would be stupid to rule that possibility out completely.
Additionally we all have to see how the economy is going to evolve once the game is out.

this is exactly what i thought. Plus i'm somewhat afraid of using currency in game.
