starcraft question?

so i was wondering if there is a way to tell my drones/scv/etc to attack anyone on sight.
is such a thing possible? because usually when i just tell them to attack one guy they all try to reach that ONE guy and as a result 10 out of my 13 drones die trying to reach their attacker.

so is there a way to tell them attack the closest enemy?

Select them all, push attack, click ground near those units. Pretty sure that will do it.

HOWEVER, tactically, this isn't such a good idea, as a surround with melee attacking units like workers would prevent enemy movement, allowing the range you're probably using to support them a better position, such as getting an arc.

The megathread would be much more helpful about this than me, so I will also direct you there. My melee micro is crap.
