Here's some pictures....
Yeah I went to town with the picture-taking... but I never get pictures with the side off, so I thought, why not? Here ya go. :P
Btw, it didn't really change CPU temperatures at all, in fact, the Maximum run of IBT I did had some higher temps than before, oddly enough. I think I'm not going to get cooler temperatures unless I get a full fledged different heatsink or something to that extreme. These are the best temperatures I will possibly get.
67 degrees Celsius average highest temp seen across all cores. 4.4GHz OC @ 1.32v
BWAHAHA nice tapework :P but have you considered getting a fan controller?? Your fan connectors are everywhere and it must suck only having 1 speed on everything.

I have a fan controller you....! My 5 true "case" fans are all connected to it. This "taped" fan is connected to a motherboard fan slot, same with the CPU fan.
How is the new fan config. working out? If it's a nice improvement I'll give it a try when (or maybe I should say if) ever I finally get my Haf-X.
I got distracted by all the pretty pictures and didn't notice the text under them.
HAF-X has a freakin side GPU duct with a 200mm fan. That's 2 x 200mm intakes and 1 x 120mm + 2 x 200mm exhausts resulting in a miniature hurricane (slightly negative pressured) inside your case. What the hell more could you want with fan setup -_-

An actual hurricane to form, DUH!!!
No but really, there is more intake now than exhaust. ^_< I also just wanted to see if I could lower my temperatures much more, the GPU did get lowered because before I wasn't using the side fan since my Xigmatek was there for awhile and that was only an out-take, so too much air going out for sure, and it was likely suffocating my GPU. CPU hasn't changed, GPU has. Somewhat successful fan changing event!
Good news! I found out I could fit my mesh side panel on my Storm Sniper with the 200x38mm fan! Buuuut... it seems my temps have increased by 3-5C??? :mindboggling: It could also be the fact that I reverted my top fan to exhaust... More testing must be done! Getting some rubber fan mounts to make life easier for my whirlwind of fans... speaking of which, I just pulled the trigger on a TY-140, Fujipoly 1mm thick thermal pad and a 140mm Anodized Aluminum fan filter... What ever could I be doing? =V
I'll have pics and results in a few days

I just had to lower the NF-P14 fan a couple rungs and it fit just fine... and I cancelled the order for the clear side panel, so it's never coming. But I think you misread it... I said my temps increased WITH the side fan on. So noob you, I guess :P
Also, yes a few days.. I JUST ordered them. Sheesh, it's not like parts get teleported to me... although...
I'd been looking for the TY-140 for a long time, too, but every place was sold out... I guess everyone got restocked at the same time Go go 2-3 day USPS Priority Mail!
That doesn't make any sense -_-I said my temps increased WITH the side fan on.

Well, it happened >:| I went from ~35, 32, 35, 32 and 60, 60, 58, 59 to 38, 36, 38, 36 and 66, 66, 60, 62 (full heat load with IBT).
That makes me very sad. Easiest way to test if it was the fan is just remove the fan (I tried unplugging it, no change), because I think just the fan BEING THERE obstructs airflow to the cooler. Especially since there's MAYBE a 5mm clearance between fan and cooler. It fits, but it's a tight fit, so there could be a deadzone screwing it up. I'll be testing when I get home from work today and I'll post results.
