I checked into this once, gotta say the only turnoff I saw from afar was the lack of capital ships.

Another option as well for anyone interested in space games(also free to play with microtransactions): http://us.battlestar-galactica.bigpoint.com/ Battlestar Galactica Online, I play it occasionally and it's actually pretty fun. Also, you've got ship sizes ranging from Vipers to capital ships(and in between the two) that nearly rival battlestars, plus the option to occasionally pilot a battlestar class ship with enough of the pvp currency.
