It makes soloing a lot easier and more fun, dungeons and epic bosses could be done with ANY class combination, and in general you won't be forced to wait for a certain class to come online to do something.

I dont think this will make soloing alot easyer, unless you mean older content, which ya it mite make easyer, but the normal leveling stuff it cant make it "easier"(assuming you are comparing a game very different from wow to wow) as the game will be balanced around having this heal

Thread is about dedicated healers in relation to PVP...

I feel this subject should not be held back to just PvP seeing it basically is a big thing around the whole game.

Besides this, dungeons can be fun again. Not having to rely on certain classes or having to roll a class you might not like. I can remember the monk in GW1, it was forced to be a Healer, when did you ever see a Smiting Monk in GW1 PvE?

The absolute beauty of this game is that all characters are somewhat self sufficient. This means you either get good or get dead! I for one do not miss dedicated roles, there are plenty of MMOs out there that have this already in play so why make another. GW2 needs to stay the course and it will be a massive success!

Sir, what exactly do smite monks do? i've only got the "they're useless don't play one!" answer from a very biased and stupid guild...

Having no dedicated healers raises the skill-cap because people will actually need to take care of themselves. No more getting carried by the healer.

The idea is that every class can do some sort of team work support role. Arguably i think its a great idea. Everyone can join and everybody has to help the group as a whole.

But an Engineer could technically go all healing/buffing, but why would you want to when you can whip out your grenades or bombs and help rofl some enemies?
Haha so true! Honestly I feel that the game would prove to be too "casual" or some other excuse for most WoW players. All my friends who currently play WoW can't wait for GW2 but I do know some who are already bashing it for being too casual friendly and won't be able to keep a playerbase because it isn't as hardcore as WoW. lol@that
