Nice OC there coolflame! Would love to see how some of the other 3570k's around here can shape up =]

Was running prime on my 2500k last night and thought I actually had it stable at last @ 4.9Ghz with 1.415v, but ended up crapping out after like 5 hours ^^

Will have to try again tonight

Updating for coolflame, NWN, and Tonyman64! Welcome to the list folks and our first Ivy Bridge!

I made it passed the 14hr mark in prime95, I am going to go until the last FFT (which happens at 17hrs 30min). I also did custom blend so that it would stress my ram as well for super stability. CPU-Z name is legends0 (my hwbot account), I can upload another later if you really need me to.

    EDIT: All FFT's passed (18hrs prime95) http://cdn.overclock.net/f/f9/f90154...erstableib.png
Very nice, I have the same processor and can't wait to see what I'll get. Numbers like this make me not regret getting Ivy Bridge due to heat issues. Keep up the good work

OP, I was wondering if will you accept LinX for stability and stress testing? I've been using that a lot on my new i7-3770k and just wanted to make sure if you'll allow that program

Prime95 27.7 beta should be used on Sandy/Ivy from now on since it adds AVX compatibility. I know my 4.8-5.0GHz overclocks are running a lot hotter now with the new cruncher.

OP i was wondering if you would consider running World Community Grid for stress testing... it does the same kind of thing as F@H i do believe... 100% cpu usage... if you need a link or any info about it just let me know.. and i can point you the right direction.

Validate time is during the prime run which I guess shows what it was running at ^^, realised I stopped prime before a SS.

Have been running 5GHz for a week without any problems (The most demanding thing I did with it was play BF3) , but this is the highest I can get it to being properly stable =]

Ty ...wish it didn't take such a high voltage though. I know the "safe" limit is 1.52V w/o LLC, but I dunno how comfortable I am running 1.48V 24/7 (I'll most likely back it down a couple notches so I can lower the voltage, not like I'll notice 200MHz in day to day usage... I just wanted to say my chip can do 5Ghz )

    Don't we all?

    And really, Diablo 3 doesn't need 5GHz, anyways. ;p

    Hi coldflame,

Did you also lower your PLL voltage? I'm running 4.8ghz on my i7 3770k @ 1.280volt at the moment. My temps are slightly higher than yours with my PLL voltage set to 1.5 (stock is 1.8).

I also use the H100 pushing out from up top with the stock fans. What is your H100 setup?

Official suggestion: Require Prime95 27.7 Beta or later for all new Sandy Bridge, Sandy Bridge E and Ivy Bridge submissions. The new version leverages AVX instructions and will prove most of our previous borderline OCs to be unstable.

Deltrus, you may have to change the IBT requirements for high amounts of ram, i get a BSOD indicating low dram voltage, even with the ram underclocked, i assume it has something with to with having 32GB

This is what i could achieve w/o changing my voltages

Hmm, strange. It appears even though i had closed the program and it was not listed in my control panel under active processes/applications FoH was still up and running during the burn test. I noticed when I went to close my Task Manager and i noticed my CPU usage was still at 100%. Seems wierd especially since the program wasn't open /boggle

I guess disregard this. It passed IBT, folded over night, passed 8+ hours of prime but crashed when I tried closing diablo today. Got blue screened saying a core failed to respond in time. Tried running OCCT and got insta bsod with same message. Upping multiplier and going to use OCCT for testing. The others may not be reliable unless there is something else wrong.

Done, though I am hesitant with it being a beta. Will be watching this.

I'll drop it to "high" but prefer maximum, but high will do. :P Just for you buddy. <3

@Protput, sorry, just saw your post now. Will add you in! Nice job getting 2500K@4.5GHz for only 1.285v, that's superb!

@Jiambi, upping multiplier? I would suggest tweaking the voltages, perhaps. O_o I do appreciate your honesty though! F@H might have just been minimized to the hidden icons section at the bottom right of your task bar. I'd check that, you have to actually be sure you pause/stop F@H before X'ing out.
